About Hilary

Hilary Klein plays a pivotal role in shaping the Energy Institute’s mission and deployment around the development of energy and carbon solutions, experiential learning opportunities, and supporting entrepreneurial scale-up.

Hilary’s commitment to bridging gaps, fostering collaboration, and creating synergetic partnerships is driven by an inclusive approach that brings together stakeholders across broad backgrounds of the community, academia, industry, students, alumni and friends of the Energy Institute. Hilary has a lifelong passion around engagement and participation, combining a professional career in the finance and real estate industries with her commitment to be part of meaningful solutions in creating sustainable communities.

Hilary received her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from DePaul University and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Colorado State University. As a Minnesota native, Hilary served in the US Army Reserves. Prior to her current role, Hilary was the Assistant Director of the Everitt Real Estate Center at the College of Business for Colorado State University. She currently holds a real estate license in the State of Colorado and serves as the Committee Chair for Urban Land Institute.
