About Ezra

Ezra Levin is a Research Scientist in the Methane Emissions Technologies Evaluation Center (METEC) in the Energy Institute at Colorado State University. His work currently focuses on testing satellite retrievals of methane leaks from oil and natural gas production and transportation.

 
Ezra earned his Ph.D. in 2013 from the Atmospheric Science Department at CSU. He has extensive experience measuring both gas and aerosol atmospheric pollutants and their effects on air quality, visibility, and their potential weather and climate impacts. Prior to joining METEC, he worked for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, where he was the lead investigator on the Emissions Mobile Unit tasked with measuring air toxics in disproportionately impacted communities.
