About Michael

Michael works as a Research Scientist for the Methane Emissions Technology Evaluation Center (METEC). With a focus on mathematical modeling, his research areas include short-range dispersion modeling suitable for METEC and the continuing development of the Mechanistic Air Emissions Simulator (MAES).

Michael holds a PhD and an MS in Mathematics from Colorado State University and was an intern at the NASA Glenn Research Center during the summers of his graduate program. He previously earned his BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Outside of math, he also holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in music and can frequently be found playing the public pianos at the CSU student center.
