Powering Up Senior Design Projects
October 8, 2025 | Back to Powerhouse Post
Over the next year the Powerhouse Energy Campus will be home to 31 students working on seven senior design projects.
All undergraduate Engineering Students at CSU participate in a senior project, allowing them to apply the knowledge they’ve learned in the classroom to a real-world engineering problem.
This year, projects based out of the Powerhouse Energy Campus include work on:
- Electric motorcycle manufacturing
- Laser fusion
- Air sample analysis
- Ethanol/oil mixtures
- Robotic arm sample analysis
- Bison health
- Low-energy pasteurization
To support Senior Design Projects, the Energy Institute provides students with meeting space, research and faculty support, access to labs, equipment tutorials, and more.
The Energy Institute’s long history of fostering entrepreneurial scale-up creates a unique environment for senior design projects to thrive. Stay tuned to our social media for project updates. All senior projects are presented at the Engineering Days celebration (E-Days).
