The Colorado State University Energy Institute encourages innovations on energy and offers entrepreneurship training to students and faculty aspiring to start their own enterprises. The Energy Institute sponsors participation in CSU Venture’s (CSUV) Research to Market (R2M) accelerator.
The R2M energy-specific program was developed by CSUV in collaboration with the Energy Institute and the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association (CCIA). It takes place yearly over six-weeks and is personalized to the needs of the accepted teams. R2M participants gain a better understanding of potential commercial markets and customer needs within those targeted markets. The program covers all aspects of starting a successful business from creating business ecosystem maps to supply chain basics.
R2M offers Energy Institute students and faculty the opportunity to get seed funding and assistance from business and energy industry experts in launching their company.
Interested students and faculty should contact Associate Director Jeff Mush at Jeff.Muhs@colostate.edu.
