On May 14th, 2024, the Powerhouse celebrated the soft launch of the Mobile Classroom!

Over the last two years, the Mobile Classroom has visited:

  • 280+ events
  • 138 schools

And engaged with:

  • 18,792 K-12 students
  • 22,740 total people

The team has expanded its lab offerings, developing engaging lessons on renewable energy topics ranging from solar power to soil carbon sequestration. The trailer has undergone many updates to optimize performance and ease of education.

Since then, the Mobile Classroom has made appearances at major community events, like the National Western Stock Show and the Larimer County Fair, bringing interactive energy education directly to the public!

The Mobile Classroom team is proud to continue their partnership with EfficiencyWorks and Platte River Power Authority, as well as OtterCares. They look forward to upcoming events this summer, including EnergyFest in September.

As the next season begins, the Mobile Classroom remains committed to providing hands-on renewable energy labs at no cost to schools. Programs are adaptable for K–12 students, making clean energy education accessible, engaging, and impactful for learners of all ages.
