Energy for Development

2.6 billion people use biomass for cooking and heating resulting in indoor air pollution which kills one person every 20 seconds. 1.8 billion people don't have access to electricity. These numbers are growing - as they do, we see entrenched poverty, constrained delivery of social services, limited opportunities for women, and the erosion of environmental sustainability on a global level. The EECL is making a difference and working to close the gap.
